Ben Garvin, photographer at the St. Paul Pioneer Press, has been named the 2007 Photographer of the year by the Minnesota News Photographers Association.

Garvin has been working at the Pioneer Press since 2004. Prior to coming to Minnesota, Garvin worked at the Concord (NH) Monitor where he was named three-time New Hampshire Photographer of the Year.
