Ben Garvin named photographer of the year…

Ben Garvin, photographer at the St. Paul Pioneer Press, has been named the 2007 Photographer of the year by the Minnesota News Photographers Association.

Garvin has been working at the Pioneer Press since 2004. Prior to coming to Minnesota, Garvin worked at the Concord (NH) Monitor where he was named three-time New Hampshire Photographer of the Year.

The College Photographer of the Year competition will be rejudged due to unforeseen circumstances. Details on the judging are still to be determined, but may commence on Sunday, April 13 2008 as part of the convention.
